At Yellow, API conducts quarterly maintenance on their four battery strings, which is monitored by the Alber BDS-256 system. API also maintains and calibrates the Alber monitoring system as well.

Yellow's critcal power system constists of four strings of 240 cells each, with 2-volt nominal per cell.
